white flies

I have just returned from holiday to find white flies all over my brussel sprouts. There is obvious damage to the top leaves and some on the Brussels themselves. Can anything be done or is it too late? Can I buy something off the shelf to remedy this? Any help much appreciated.

I'd hose them off with water, you don't want poisons on your food

I found the garlic spray worked but only for a short time, you need to apply every 3 or 4 days.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • I have just read about that white vinegar mixed with water and   is suppose to work,  but certainly the hose is good as the garlic I make   6 pint  of water with one clove and keep soaked for a week and it is strong and you can refill and it gets stronger so make sure you don't spray to young plants with it.image

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will try all methods and hope that I can get on top of the problem.
