Breeze Block Planters

Hi My current raised beds are looking very tired, I have a stack of breeze blocks spare and was wondering if I could use them to make a new bed? I would like to render them and then paint them white What do people think?

Easy to handle, easy to lay, go for it!

Note to self - always read the first post first - and not the second one

Wondered what I'd stumbled onto here for a moment image

Does anyone know how I should progress then, I currently have block paving as a base, should I get this up first and then build on a level base?

Should I put any sort of drainage in the beds?

    Thanks

Only thing about painting them white is that it could end up looking like a grave/mausoleum type thing.
