Doctor Who kicks off tonight with Peter Capaldi in the role. I'm excited but am I the only one and will this thread sink without trace?

    I'll only be watching it if OH does Fishy. Sorry I've never really liked it.  Although I do like David Tennant image

    I love all sci-fi so looking forward to it.  Like most Dr Who fans I am usually slow to start liking 'new Doctors' but usually warm to them after a few episodes. image

    But you cant beat William Hartnell and cardboard daleks!

    My son was so scared he would hold a cushion to his face and peep out.

    I think he's still the same.

    William Hartnell Lyn? I wasn't born image  Actually I have a friend who is obsessed with the original Dr Who i.e pre-Christopher Ecclestone. He managed to work out the day of the week I was born by broadcast dates and my date of birth. At the time I didn't know what day I was born,he told me it was a Saturday so I asked my Mum. And he was right image

    I've never really been a sci-if fan, apart from Buck Rogers and Mork and Mindy ( image ), I think it's because my dad made me watch them in silence when I was little whilst he watched.......I would rather have had Little House on the Prairie or Lassie LOl image
