Red spots on Sorrel
Hi
The sorrel has been growing well all summer but now seems to be developing red spots on its leaves. As the leaves age the number of spots increases.
Is this a disease? A bug? Any advice appreciated - thank you.

I've a feeling this is just what sorrel does - after all there are some varieties of sorrel which have red veined leaves, and the wild sorrels which are also Rumex have a lot of red pigmentation.
Anyone else got any better ideas?

Hi many thanks for your advice - wasn't aware it has red pigment. Looks so awful though - difficult to know if it is still edible.!
Thank you.
