It is chilly down here and there is an air of Autumn and the flowers are dying back. The blackberries and sloes are ripe ,goodbye summer!

same here . . manchester theres a chill in the air and the smell of autumn . got more spuds up today and picked loads of beans .got onions and shallots drying out

I know we've had some lovely weather but I do feel cheated that its gone chilly so early I was hoping for at least a couple more weeks of warmish weather. It's felt more like September the last week or so.
Sure Fairy will confirm (sorry I mean hope she will) that it's a very short season ooop north. I'm getting fed up of throwing good money after bad so will watch what she grows (think she's very clever). Just crawling - don't need a driving lesson or anything


Thats unreal .....you can't have frosts in August

August is traditionally the warmest month along with July,at least in England. But we live in strange times and nothing is as it once was
