What Should I Plant Here Now?

After lifting out the Leeks that were in my raised bed a couple of days ago I am now left with some space to fill. You can see there's a few straggly Spring Onions left lol
Stupidly I haven't sown anything to fill it, and I know I've left it a bit late lol

Has anyone any ideas what they would plant in this space to fill it for the next few months? As you can see by the Chrysanthemums I am not averse to planting Flowers in the bed image

Salads, oriental veg, turnips, green manure, spinach, lots of things will still grow image

I do the same! Best intentions and all that! image

You might get a crop of spring onions before the cold sets in image

I tend to use empty veg beds for nursery beds for the things im moving round in the autumn/winter.

Its also a good time to sow brassicas for next year, they can be over wintered in your beds image
  • Thanks for the ideas and I'd never thought of using it as a nursery bed image
