Wisteria

Is it possible to grow Wisteria in a tub on a north facing wall in Derbyshire, it would get no sun during the winter months. Can anyone give me some advice please.

Just one thing, if you are growing Wisteria in a tub it had better be a very big tub, and choose Wisteria floribunda instead of W.sinensis; it is less vigorous.

Yes you can grow wisteria as a bonsai. I dont think a wisteria likes to much shade, i think it got something to do with the sun getting to the flower buds.

From my past experience wisterias tend to like quite a lot of sunshine so you may struggle. However I can also say that plants have an amazing ability to adapt to the environment in order to survive and I have been surprised on quite a few ocassions by plants which I didnt expect to grow as well.
