Unknown Shrub
I really like this shrub from a neighbours garden and would like to buy some for my garden but not sure what it is. The photo shown was taken back in feb, now in August it has berries on it which I think may be turning red. I thought it looked like a Sarcocca or some kind of holly with smooth leaves but im not very knowledgeable on plants so any ideas please let me know. Many thanks!

7 months late, I know, but only just seen this by chance...
...looks to me like an immature Holly: you can just see one or two leaves beginning to form prickles.
Hmm that's interesting, but im not too sure.
The shrub is just down the road from me, I pass it every day and i've not see any signs of any normal spiky holly leaves and it's quite a large size now.
I've tried to stratify and propagate the seeds (if that's the correct words) but to no joy as yet
I've also taken a few cuttings which seem to be doing ok as they are still green, just hoping to see the signs of some growth on them one day soon
Thanks for the responses
Olybobs do the leaves smell if you crush them?
Edd that is my thought hence question about leaves..I have a bay tree...but I'm usually poor at ID's.
While I'm certainly no expert (as my suggestion above shows) I have to agree that now Edd has mentioned Bay it does look more like my Bay (I'm so easily influenced!
) only much better condition with glossier leaves than mine.
Failing that, could it be another type of Laurel which I think is related to Bay?

I knew it looked familiar, it got posted twice
Not bay or portugal laurel.
Not familiar with that holly but wouldn't be surprised it it was a holly

I said I was poor at ID's
