Brilliant Lyn - they'll be spoiled for choice there won't they! Is that view taken from your house? You'll get some lovely entertainment if it is, especially in winter
I like the careful positioning of the seat though ....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Lyn - your garden is beautiful!! What a lovely panorama...
OK - the liner is in,water is in and just need to trim up the edges. I had to borrow next door's hosepipe as my wayward step son borrowed ours and we'll never get it back now.
Ideally I would have left it to fill with rain, but I was worried about the dogs jumping in the bottom. Chlorine dissipates from tap water after a few days anyway. For the base I got some top soil and sifted it through some fine mesh I have, then put a thick wad of Mrs F's magazines and the underlay on top of that. I've also got enough liner left to create a little piece of adjoining bog garden. This is the first time I've had a pond since 1992 when I moved out of my parent's house. I'm so excited!!
All this talk about liners. It reminds me of the time when the Titanic left Belfast. The workmen said, after the disaster, 'She was alright when she left here '!
Fairy, We have some fun in that room, watching the wildlife that is
Fishy, this isnt just a garden, its a park, that piccy is only just one bit of it, its lovely and I am forever grateful to my parents for letting us build our extension on to their bungalow.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Fishy - it's lovely that you're so thrilled with it. I can feel your excitement from here!
Hope Mrs F was finished reading the mags though...
Lyn - I was going to say what fun you'll have in the bedroom then, but that might be taken the wrong way...

What on earth would we do if we didn't have gardens?
