Planting Potato for Christmas Day
in Fruit & veg
Is it possible to have new potatos for christmas lunch. I am thinking about planting potato's in a pot or some form of planter for Christmas is this possible. I have never grown veg and only this spring I have grown some plants from seeds and so pleased with the result. I live in the north and the past couple of years we have had snow and ice before Christmas and I have no greenhouse but thinking of getting a plastic one, what do you experts think.
Thanks regards Chris

As regards a green house-I would only regard a plastic one as a temporary measure-if you can afford go for a wood or aluminium one it will last 10 times as long and you can find one to suit even the smallest garden.
A plastic one is not that stable-it might end up in your neighbour's garden in a high wind and the covers rip quite easily
Thanks I did see this project but couldn't find it again.
Thanks again.
