Rowan tree unwell?

Dear Forum Members,
Can anyone please diagnose and what has caused our young Rowan sapling to get this unhealthy looking leaf ailment?
Many thanks!

HI - Thanks for your reply. No there appears to be no damage to the base of the effected 'fronds' and it is affecting random 'fronds' not uniformly all of them. The bark also seems Ok.
I don't know but our newly planted mountain ash did similar last year and had no flowers or berries at all, this year it has done much better. I suspect it is partly to do with newness and establishing itself.
I don't think it's anything to worry about if 90% of remaining leaves are fine. I would take the affected leaves off and take a good look around them for any beastie marks and keep an eye on the tree to see if any more leaves show signs. A good watering and feed may help?
Would be interesting if anything else happens!
