Gardening with thorns!!
I need a really good pair of gardening gloves which helps battle with thorns! I found a pair on a amazon but they are quite dear and wear out quite quickly. Does anyone have any recommendations for long lasting reasonable gloves? (I dont mind paying a little more for ones that do last!)
Many thanks

Do you need ones that you can use when hedging etc, and which don't need to allow fine motor control, or do you need ones for finer work?

Hi Regina, I had a similar problem but I came across these which are reasonable and seem to do the job...

hope that helps
Whenever I need new gardening tools, I visit Fred's Shed - a site I trust and can thoroughly recommend, and of course you don't have to buy via the site, but the reviews are very good.
I bought the Gold Leaf Tough Touch gloves - expensive but exceptional gloves. They're so thin they're like a second skin, hands don't get hot and sweaty and despite barely realizing you have gloves on not a thorn or prickle has so far got through in 2 yrs. They're made from deer-skin and having used them a lot, I realize how deer can run through brambles etc without getting scratched. I was honestly amazed with these gloves.

but cheaper on ebay
A possible cheaper alternative are the Stihl Leather Work Gloves (about £10). I have these too for general gardening and they resist almost all thorns, but not as thin the deer-skin gloves.

I have a pair of leather gloves from the garden centre. Good fit and last well.
