Rhododendron problem

Every leaf on our plant is being eaten - we think by vine weevil.  How can we treat this?

We had problems with vine weevil when we moved into this garden 3 years ago - we gave the bed 2 treatments with Nemasys vine weevil killer and have had very little problem since.

I think the hedgehogs help get them too.

I think Nemasys only affects the grubs which attack the roots rather than the adults which attack the leaves. I would recommend using it to stop the next generation but you may have to hunt down the adults by hand.

Well, the grubs turn into the adults - we noticed adult vine weevils feeding on primula and honeysuckle leaves - treated the bed and Hey presto! - no problem image

But it would be good to see a photo of the damage - it might be leaf cutter bees - they like rhodos.

Hope this picture works  - have bought some Provado today as temporary measure.  Worth giving a try.
