    hollie hock...I've not heard a grass hopper for years in this country, as a child we would catch then in the fields... go to the South of France and if you need to use the services off the A roads...the noise they make is unbelievable in the summer...

    hh..my garden's in a built up area of sorts and you wouldn't expect to hear grasshoppers but it's sad we don't hear them when out in the countryside and I've not heard any on the allotment even though there are wildlife area's...

    We have grasshoppers and more grasshoppers and even more grasshoppers.image

    Lots of uncut meadow here, that's where they are. None on the lawn or amongst flowers
