Hi all, Any idea what this plant is? I have several growing and they came in a 'bee and butterfly' mix I planted about 3 years ago. To my surprise they come up again from the same rootstock rather than self-seeding. The flowers look a little like mallow, but the leaves certainly don't!

Many thanks for any ideas!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Hi Pam, I think you have got it in one!
Many thanks!
I think it is Sidalcea, the prairie mallow. I have a white one and a pink one in my garden.
I have both musk mallows and sidalcea, I think this one's a musk mallow. The flowers are similar, but the habit of sidalcea is more erect, less bushy, and the stems are more spire-like.
