No heads on my calabrese - why?

My calabrese have developed into healthy looking leafy plants but have not developed any heads - why is this? I grew the same plants last year from seed in another part of the veg plot very successfully. The plants are netted (which doesn't completely keep the caterpillars away but helps). It looks like I won't be getting any summer broccoli this year and I'd like to understand why. Any ideas?

    They will come, the weather seems to have had a strange effect on some crops, ive had supposed summer calebrese flower very late, they just do it to wind us up i think! image

    Thanks Bekkie. I'll try and exercise a bit of patience and not give up on the broccoli just yet!
