Do you mean seeds David?  Or plants as in the mints etc?

Too late I would say knowing our weather.  You could try the basil if you have a greenhouse.  Start planning ahead now for next year and get going early.

You can try the mint, thyme and rosemary - as for the rest you've left it far too late if you're in the UK.

You need to start planning for the other from February onwards if you have a greenhouse.  If not it'll be later next spring that you start.

This website (and the Gardeners World magazine) have a What to do this week section http://www.gardenersworld.com/what-to-do-now/week32/

Keep checking it out week by week - I think you'll find it helpful. image

Basil will germinate easily indoors just now David. I've just sown some on the windowsill, poly bag over it and it was through in a few days. Has to be inside in autumn anyway in this country so you'll get a crop to last the next month or two. If you sow enough, you can always freeze some in ice cubes to use over winter. image

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

For Autumn sowing I will be doing; Red Baron onions, Turnip F1 Tokyo Cross, Spring onion F1 Guardsman, Winter density lettuce, Kohl Rabi Delicacy white, Endive Frisee, Chicory, Carrot F1 Eskimo, Cabbage Durham Early, Beetroot PabloF1, Corn Salad.

In the g/h Basil Greek and Watercress.

All from seedaholic.com very cheap and they tell you what you can plant month by monthimage
