Rambling Rose
Hello!!
Just received a potted Rambling/Weeping Rose tree which we intend keeping in the pot for a while (till next summer hopefully) when we can do up the garden and decide where to plant it....only had it a week and a bit concerned that the numerous roses are already looking weary....gave it water....should we feed, prune, mulch, or all three....we are complete beginners to gerdening!!! Thanks for any help!

It is the weather-do nothing other than give it perhaps a dose of rose food and dead head any blooms that have gone over.
And make sure that the pot doesn't dry out - although it may be raining, the top growth will probably be preventing enough water getting to the pot. You need to check it daily.
Thanks...is it ok to use bone meal? Used it on my border roses but not sure about pots....
An organic liquid fertiliser would be best at this time of year. (MiracleGro is not right for all roses due to its high level of chemical salts, I have read.)
