Looks like several Cordylines together - a majestic looking plant(s)! Just think of the display that you could plant around that - a touch of the med all year long!! Lovely! Shed relocation looks favourable!
The only things I protect are a tree fern by tying up the fronds and stuffing straw in the crown and the bananas have the leaves chopped just before first frost and I put old compost bags( opened both ends) over the truck stuffed with straw. Tender perennials like ginger lilies and cannas get a deep mulch.
Thank you very much, it wuld be a shame to just cut it down and as much as I'd like to move the shed, it's not the strongest so I'd be worried it would collapse sooner rather than later. I have a location for the plant where I think I could do more with the ground around it and make the shed more accessible.

Love that tropical looking display Bamboogie! How do you overwinter it successfully? That's a look that I'm trying to go for...
