  Thanks to all of you for such lovely birthday wishes.  Have had a completely wonderful few days .....about to be rounded off by chocolate cake

  Was delighted that they treated me to a 21 gun salute at the Tower of London today.  Most in the crowd believed it was in honour of the visiting President of Singapore .....but we knew different.

  And belated happy birthday to Fairy too - us October girls must stick together - the combined candles will rival the bonfires of November
