Pepper problem

I'm growing bell peppers for the first time in my greenhouse. As each fruit develops a tiny brown spot appears on the skin which gradually gets larger. The fruits aren't touching anything and I'm watering regularly. The rest of the pepper is edible but I guess eventually the whole thing would rot. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

It looks like a fungal problem. How do the leaves look?

  • I don't thin it's fungal - nothing else in the greenhouse is affected and the leaves are fine. I was wondering about blossom end rot. I have had it on tomatoes in the past, although thankfully not this year. That's caused by inconsistent watering and poor ventilation isn't it?

  • Hi Calendula.

As Buddyboy suggests your problem is overwatering, I try to not water on a regular basis, only when the leaf shows signs of flagging and then just enough water to wet the pot content. Works for me.
