dividing drumstick primulas
Hello one & all
When is the best time to divide my drumstick primulas. I put some in the garden about a year ago, and now they are looking quite 'clumpy'. But I don't want to disturb them until I can safely divide them without damaging them All info appreciated. Thanks. Nikki7

I believe the best time to divide any Primula is just after flowering.
But I'm not completely sure...
I do mine anytime, I have just done some. Pull off the little rosettes with some root on them, chop off all the green then replant, make sure you water well.
Many thanks Marco & Lyn for the advice. I'll have a go at that. I was quite concerned about killing them off, by trying to divide at the wrong time of year.

Hello again Marco & Lyn
I followed your advice & now have almost double the amount of drumstick primulas. I'm really delighted! Thanks again.
