Clematis Montana Rubens

I took a cutting of an old montana rubens about four months ago.  It has rooted well in the greenhouse and is now growing well.  Can it be planted out now?

    I wouldn't plant it out until it was a well established plant growing in a 2litre pot, remembering to plant it deeper each time you pot it on
