I’m in very wet SW Devon, home to every slug in the known universe. I tried a Lobelia cardinalis, which was stripped to sticks in 48 hours. I want to try Lobelia speciosa ‘Starship Rose Princess’ on the basis it’s more slug resistant. What experience have others had?

I only planted it a couple of months ago - but so far so good

I grew Tupa from seeD a couple of years ago and sowed their seeds in march, got a tray full of lovely plants,  don’t  know where they’ll all go.  Lovely plants, shame the slugs think so too.

Just looked back and saw that the original plants in 2018 I said the slugs hadn’t touched them, must have been a dry summer cos they chewed them this year.
