If you want a non-invasive Japanese anemone, 'Wild Swan' is a new one which doesn't seem to spread. White flowers, blue on the back, & starts flowering earlier than many others (late June I think).
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

root cuttings are the best. They are somewhat invasive and may creep into your garden without help
