I dont have the answer, sorry, however i do have a full size plum tree which has behaved in the same way, i have now moved it, so it has better light, and basically given it a bit more tlc, its now getting better image

Have you fed your tree? the nutrients in the compost dont last for long, and this hot spell could have stressed the tree too image

imageI feed it every week and give it a good watering, it is in full sunlight by rites it should be healthy and growing strong instead it is looking very unhealthy.....!!!!!

Might just be stressed by the weather, im sure it will recover, mine was really shaded by other plants, now in a spot with no encroaching plants, but only gets sun for the first half of the day, i wonder if a slightly more sheltered spot in very warm weather may help? image

I'm not  fruit tree expert, but feeding every week sounds excessive to me - what are you feeding it with?

just a general plant food out of a bottle, the sort you add about a capful to a gallon of water....
