gladiolus wilting

Hey, I got 2 gladiolus growining in a pot and both are taller with buds on ready to flower. I came home today and one of them is wilting. Any ideas why? Also the leaves are yellowish in places. Not sure if this is related? Any advice? I haven't watered last couple of days as we have had heavy rain. Thanks
