Hi, ive just been looking for a link i was sent on how to prune/ look after grape vines as mine is a bit unruly, it might be worth you doing a search for threads about grapes, i cant remember what it said now, but wrote it down - somewhere!

Hopefully one of the experts will be along soon with some advice, but as far as the ones ive got are concerned, they dont need much care at all image

The main thing to look up is pruning as they can bleed to death if you get it wrong.

oh well that all sounds great - I did wonder if I needed to feed and water in vast quantities - thing is you can ready lots of different things on the web all conflicting.. so they will ripen soon - great image are the pruning details on this site ?

Roni, i can only speak for myself, but my vines (well established) rarely even get watered! I assume the more you feed and water the better the fruit will be, ive probably got 30 bunches on these vines, not the most wonderful quality, but pretty good for no care at all, so i wouldnt worry too much image

Monty has been growing grapes on GW, it might be worth finding previous shows on i-player image

This is the best source of information I know on the internet regarding the care of grapevines.

    I hope that's helpful

A simple bit of pruning you can do now is to count two leaves beyond each grape bunch and prune there. That will concentrate the vine's energy on the fruit as well as tidy it up. Towards the end of the month remove any leaves which are shading the bunches to help them ripen.
