IRIS seeds- how do I sow it-?

in Plants
I was given the seeds or small berry sized in June- a lovely pale yellow & maroon iris, I have soaked the small berry sized seed and it appears to have swelled, but now not sure if I was to break it open and find small seeds inside or just plant the small pea sized seed?
Probably not the best time to sow either?

That's the seed, sow it now. It won't need heat. It may germinate quickly or it may wait for a chilling in winter and germinate in spring.
If you haven't soaked them all you couls wait til winter and sow them. They won't need soaking, or heat
