Thank you RB, i am very lucky to be able to live here and look after and have free range of this beautiful garden.

Hester, honestly, it is simple to put the piccy on here, what are you posting on, ipad, laptop?

It seem the same though, I have laptop, android and ipad, all the same procedure.

I wonder if its just this forum where they come out upside down, i will try on a different forum and see. Is it just portrait that it happens to?.

Does it look the wrong way round after its uploaded and before you press save?

  • Runnybeak- are you taking the portrait photo with the home key/on off key at the bottom?

For landscape photos the button is on the right as you said.

Hester, sorry if I made it appear complicated- it only becomes that way when things go wrong to be honest. The whole thing should take no more than a minute and that is including waiting for the photo to upload.

I don't know if you saw the post by Bob the Gardener - I thought it was on this thread but I cannot find it. It is to do with the invisible information, including picture orientation, that is contained within the picture (Called EXIF tags). It does not communicate properly with other operating systems including Windows, which can sometimes cause the photos to turn.

I assume your wifi comes up in the choose a network bit? What happens when you click on it? It should ask you for your wifi password...

  • Yes, I keep my home key on the left when it is in its case too - I just prefer it.

Just like that, Victoria, I put what I thought was the password but it didn't accept it.

runny, I don't think you can post pics from a phone.

I am off to take a portrait one as it seems these are the main problem.

Very large garden Victoria, and very new, I only started making borders in autumn 2011, and the last border this Spring. It's been very hard work but I am thrilled with it, it looks like it's been established for years. Before that it was like a mini pine forest, we dug out 7 25 yr old conifers from one border and a whole row of conifer hedge from the new border.

it was all done on the cheap as I couldn't possible afford to buy plants.

most of it is from seeds interspersed with some bare roots from Parkers which I have since split and planted out.
