having received seeds for free of the above species, they are growing into nicotiana tobacum, I think, huge leaves now, no flowers yet

I grew alata last year and it was great. It did have huge green leaves at first. Just wait, the flowers will come. It looks nice, nothing fabulous but the scent in the evening was fantastic.
