Wow Trudi you have done great since you first posted and it was lovely to get more pics, you must have been working really hard as I know how long it takes to empty and plant up! An established pot! You must have been out there morning noon and night You sound different too More positive Please update us often and also pop into the potting shed, join the forkers when you fancy a chat or a laugh, there is always a friendly gardener in there for a chat
to see if they have any students or ex students who would like to earn a little money? Sometimes a horticultural student is grateful for the chance to do some small jobs to gain a bit of experience and something to put on their CV so they don't charge a lot.
Also, as has been said - don't turn down help from your church members - someone there may really enjoy the chance to help and spend time in such a lovely garden, or they may know of someone living in a flat who is just itching for the chance to get their hands in the soil. You would be doing each other a good turn
Also, I wonder whether you're aware of this website http://cancerchat.cancerresearchuk.org/index.jspa - a friend has found it to be a huge source of advice and support. They can also offer advice re benefits appeals etc.
Wishing you all the best
