oxalis rust
Hi all you lovely gardeners,
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on oxalis rust.
My gorgeous big oxalis red wine has a bad case of it.
I put some treatment on it yesterday but I'm not sure it'll pull through.
Should I do anything else? I don't want to lose it.
Thanks loads, Mel

Hi Melanie
I'm not an intentional grower of oxalis although there is a very insistent variety that keeps appearing in my veg patch! I'm sure that some people will be heartened to know that there is a disease that affects them.
However, I don't mean to be unkind - I can see that Oxalis Red Wine is a choice plant.
As I said I've not grown it, but my instinct would be to cut it hard back and water it and wait for it to re-shoot. If it's in a container I'd also re-pot with fresh compost.
Don't know what others think ............................ anyone got another idea ???
