burnt umbrella bamboo plant

fatfeifatfei Posts: 14

Hi all,

I have a umbrella bamboo plant that has been burntnin the hot weather and the leafs have turned yellow. They are not crispy or dead nor are the stems, just looks it. Can I nurse this back to health with plenty of water or do I need to cut at the stems.

Alk the best

If the leaves are sunburned and yellow I'd cut them off at the base - if it's in a container then you can move the plant into the shade , but otherwise treat it as normal - it will shoot again from the base.

They are happiest in semi or dappled shade image

Hi, it's in a pot and moved to the shade. So ill cut at the stems about 5 inches from the base?
