Identifying a plant

Hi all.I was wondering if anyone could identify this plant for me please? It has popped up this year in a border and I assume it is some type of grass.

Juncus effusus I think, goes with wet spots and potting compost,
soft rush
In the sticks near Peterborough
Thank you nutcutlet,it is in a spot that gets waterlogged,I'll look it up.
It might also be sedge.
