Plant identification

Could somebody tell me what this is please? I have always thought it was a euonymus, but having googled images of euonymus, have now decided that it isn't! Any information would be very welcome.

Going by the seed heads it looks like a form of Arum italicum.

  • We've just moved house and this is popping up everywhere in the front garden  it has orange carrot like rizomes. Can anyone tell me what it is please, I'm assuming it's invasive and how us best to eradicate it if it is.

At this stage, they look like Centranthus Ruber.

I agree. Very free with the self seeding but loved by bees and butterflies.

Yes, I'll go with Centranthus ruber  :)
Ideal for filling the cracks in spots too small for almost anything else ... just as you have there.  I've planted some in a similar space in this garden.  :)

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
