    Morning Verdun, you are quite right, I only cut the one and only flowering stem right back to the base of the plant. There were no other flowering stems visible at the time as I mentioned it was a new, small plant, planted in early May. I did not cut back the foliage as that looked absolutely fine.

    Sorry for any confusion, I thought it was termed 'second flush' if something repeat flowered, my mistake, newbie at this gardening malarkey. So I must have amazingly rich soil though if in two weeks I get a new flower stem emerging! Pat on the back me image
