Diatomaceous Earth

Hi everyone, i heard from a friend yesterday that Diatomaceous Earth is a good fertiliser, is that true? Also, will it help to get rid of slugs? The slugs have eaten all my radish leaves image Any help would be most appreciated image

    I use this stuff to prevent red mites in my hen house. The dust sticks to them and supposedly dehydrates them.

    I suppose it would work the same with slugs if applied but I'm not sure if it would have the same effect if the DE became wet for any reason.

    Thank you, Victoria, I'll sprinkle some on the soil on a sunny day then. To bad it rained today, I'll wait for the sun!
