What is this shrub?

Can anyone identify this shrub. It was bought from a £1 shop as a "twig" and supposed to be buddleia but I could tell it wasn't as son as the leaves appeared. The shrub is now about 5 months old and flowered  with a couple of blooms - pale white/pink. Thought it was spirea but the blooms are more conical.

There are loads of species and cultivars of spirea and I think you're right.

Definitely some kind of Spirea. Back in the late 70's when I was a Council gardener. Spirea species were one of the mainstays of their shrubberies, a hangover from pre smokeless days as they are tolerant of air pollution.
