That's a neat piece of topairy work MrsT, looks good
Not sure if I can take so much off mine but must at least trim it back.
Tackling the Philodendron tomorrow, at the side of the house (but seen from the front!), it needs some of the larger and older branches taking out. They make good 'pea canes' for staking plants. Photo just came out on its side so will have to crop it and re post.
Hi Folks, back from a spa day and just catching up on a few threads, BizzieB did you say you lived on the welsh/hereford border? Im reading a great book at the moment called Meadowland (the private life of an english field) its by John Lewis-Sempel who is a farmer on the Hereford side of the Welsh Border. Its a year in the life of the field and all the creatures that live there, its absolutely fascinating and beautifully written if anyone is keen on wildlife and the countryside its well worth a look at. The Escley River runs by the field, its close to Haye on Wye. Thought it might be in your neck of the woods.
That's better, the tree in front is a hazel, the Philodendron had masses of flowers this year and their scent filled the gateway there! looked up and was amazed
