Hmmm didn't think that would work...
Think I've decided...
from left:
fagus sylvatica dawyk purple (columnar purple beech)
fagus sylvatica dawyk gold (columnar gold/limey leaved beech)
prunus crimson pointe (columnar purple leaved flowering plum)
liriodendron tulipifera ('tree shaped(!) bright green/yellow leaves)
The columnar ones will fit nicelt behind trampoline and slide until they are no longer needed in a couple of years.
There's more space for lirio further to right, and then will think more about nearer shed at a later date.
I have the lirio already (and an amelanchier but got another spot for that)
All others in local GC for under £40 and £5 delivery.
Well, my visit to GC didn't go as planned!
The variety of fagus I wanted doesn't keep it's leaves over winter so wont give a better screen than others 'on the list'.
Instead I chose a cotoneaster as its evergreen and fits the purpose.
So now my plan had comp[lately changed and I decided to stop 'thinking' and go with my heart
I have wanted a liquidambar for ages so I now have 'Lane Roberts' on its way tomorrow.
I have kept seeing an Acer drumondii in local gardens so went for that as well!
Not the plan I had, don't fit purpose but love em!
