Apple Tree Leaves

Can anyone tell me why my 'Tickled Pink' Apple Tree leaves look like this?

So far there's only been about 4 or 5 and I have taken them off.
I also have a 'Cox's Orange Pippin' that has had orange / brown splotches on it's leaves, which I also removed, at the other side of the garden.
Both Tree's are in large pots and I only bought them at the start of the year as young trees.

It's not a "mysterious pattern" - it's how leaves change colour in the autumn.

Your trees are moving into autumn mode a bit early - probably because we had an early spring and now we've got a very warm/dry summer.

    Are they getting enough water?

  • Yes it's getting watered, hopefully it's just a fluke.
