Any one know what this is?

Does anyone know what this disease is on my Azealia plant, and is there a cure or shall I just pull the growths off?

It looks like the best thing to do is remove the growths and spray with a systemic insecticide to keep the plants clear of insects that may spread the problem.Sorry I can't be of more help Lyn

Thank you Pam, I have removed all the bits and will spray, maybe later I will use a fungicidal spray as well.
That looks like the same thing I seen on one of my azalea plants yesterday. Ive just taken cuttings from them as well. I shall spray the big plants but is it safe to use insecticide on cuttings?
