    Come on marky give us a break we can't recommend anything till we know the weather and soil conditions you are dealing with, so you have to give us a rough idea of where your garden is located.image

    Is the border sunny or in shade? That is important. It will certainly be dry with a conifer hedge alongside it. And how big is the border?
