Hebe Purple Pixie

This is my first ever Hebe and I would like to know how to trim it to get more flowers.  It has been beautiful for the last six weeks, but now the flower spikes are almost over.  Do I cut them off just below the bottom of each one, or does the plant need more drastic pruning?

If the plant is mature, then a gentle clipping all over to remove the old blooms should do. I generally don't bother and just let it do its own thing.

  • Hogweed it is quite small - about 9" high - and I only put it in the garden 5 weeks ago, so I don't know if you could call it mature  image
