  • Hi Alan, your garden is so lovely. I have a similar arrangement as I wanted a "waterfall" instead of a fountain. I have planted a varigated bush behind the pump and it hides it so it all looks as if the water is flowing from a hidden source!image(Bless). I think it is an Euronomus.Try a plant with year round interest and an evergreen. Your pond is going to develop nicely and look even more lovely next year. You clever young man....ENJOY.image

Alan, it's really lovely. I can't work out what is behind the tank where the water comes from; possibly think of ways to cover that? The first photo looks like a wonderful grotto in some woods. I'm very envious - I don't have room for a pond, it must be lovely on  hot summer's days though you might be too young to remember those.

  • I love the planting around the pond it is very nice and interesting. What is the low growing green grass like plant you have round the pond??
  • your garden is lovely Alan.. love the pond.. wish other half would let me have one..image

    it loks full of colour.

  • Well

I must say thanks to you all, the moss stuff that surrounds the pond is that well known plant havnt got a glue ius.  It just grows and smothers everything but i just yank it out to allow other things to grow but it soon grows back.  On the few sunny days we both just do some potting around listen to very loud classical music and drink too much wine.
