Fruit trees

I have one apple and fig tree which I have had for 4 years and last year I was able to get quite a few ripe figs and some apples. This year however my figs are not turning brown and there are no apples on my apple tree can someone tell me why and what I can do to rectify the problem. Please find attached a picture of the fig and apple tree and of the my figs

The fig tree looks fine. Give the figs time to ripen. There seems to be a good crop there.

It doesn't look as though you pinched out the shoots at four or so leaves before mid-summer's day. Don't forget next year. Write it in your diary.

What variety is your apple tree?

Pinch out the shoots of fig trees every year. Makes lots of new fruit-bearing shoots.

Traditionally the last date to do it is mid-summer's day. 21 June.
