How to open compost bin

Hello. Stupid question here. We received a second hand Blackwall compost bin, but can't figure out how to take the top off. I don't want to break it. Twisting does not work. There must be a place that we have to press, but as we have no manual, we don't know how to open the top.

    It's described as 'wind proof'.  My guess is that it either twists or you need to lever it off somehow.  

    Once  you've got it off once you'll be able to have a look at the construction and work out how it's meant to work.

    Mine are all windproof ones - you just need to give it a sharp hard tug up. They're good quality plastic you'll struggle to break it.

    It was quite stuck on there. They probably got rid of this bin because it was a b!@# to open.
