Potted Acer

Me again image Can anyone tell me why my young red acer tree is dying, well very unhealthy anyway. Leaves brown at the edges.

Also potted olive tree got 2 one has almost lost all it's leaves, treated both the same!

Any ideas folks?

    Mine was similar, hardly growing and generally sad looking. I planted it out as a last ditch attempt and it's thriving now.

    HI Fairy54,

    Guessing your Acer pot is sited in an open situation catching wind and sun and that is why your leaves look like they are dying. Don't worry, it should hold on to some leaves this year if you move it to a more sheltered and shaded position and next year it will be back as good as new image

    oh I hope so, I've moved it round to the back garden now, more shady and sheltered!

    With the hot weather you need to increase the watering of acers in pots
