caterpillars eating leaves

Hello, I've noticed on several of my plants the leafs are being eaten or folded in half which when unfolded there is a cobweb like thing inside. Anyhow today I unfolded one of the effected leaves and a tiny green caterpillar wiggled out. How can I eradicate these as they are eating all the leaves! image Thanks

Bumping your original post up the forum so that it doesn't drop off the bottom before anybody answers it.

..you are not alone... I have these little green caterpillars affecting my Cotinus bush.. they've decimated some of the leading shoots, so now I pick them off each day and throw them over the fence [no neighbours] ...
